Sam graduated from Melbourne University with a double degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry in 2009. Sam is a chartered member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.In the past, Sam has assisted in manufacturing water treatment chemicals. Sam held many different roles during his time including: equipment engineer, project engineer, process engineer and production engineer. Sam has also been involved in the commissioning of a filtration and disinfection water treatment plant. Sam also has exposure to Reverse Osmosis having delivered a plant for the purpose of chemical production. Sam has commissioned flocculant handling equipment at mine sites throughout Queensland and water treatment plants in Auckland, New Zealand. Sam has also managed plant-based capital projects and provided support to production teams during the day to day running of chemical plant and equipment.Sam has also gained exposure to various projects in the dairy manufacturing industry. Sam has scoped and specified equipment items such as automatic filling and case packing units, ingredient batching systems & manual handling/lifting items.Sam has extensive experience in the technical support of and capital delivery of hazardous chemical sites. More recently, Sam was the site based process engineer at Australasia’s biggest ChlorAlkali plant in Laverton, Victoria. Working at this major hazard facility, Sam supported the operation of the Chlorine manufacturing process and delivered a number of capital improvement projects. Sam also has experience in a similar role supporting the operation of a formaldehyde and resin manufacturing site, also a major hazard facility.
