Digital Forensic Examiner
Current- Responsible for the forensic identification, acquisition, analysis, and examination of various digital devices working within an accredited ISO17025 environment. Complying with ISO17020 and the FSR codes of practice and conduct.- Main specialism is mobile phones (including peripherals; SD cards and SIM cards) and CCTV devices (including cloud devices and accounts). - Complete sensitive high profile cases with discretion and professionalism whilst keeping to strict deadlines to deliver to the CPS. - Attend warrants offering technical advice and triage devices on scene to allow a prompt and effective investigation. - Maintain and follow documented validated procedures which reflect best practice. - Categorising still and moving images that will depict abusive and indecent images of children including extreme pornography, adult pornography, extreme violence and death.- Work with other departments closely to share intelligence on large operations to then build the case for the CPS promptly and effectively. - Deliver the best customer service to officers across the force, which is then hopefully helping make the community a safer place to be, as through our digital forensic results, suspects are being charged for crimes committed.
