I am a recent graduate of the Masters of Social Work (Qualifying) Degree at the University of Sydney who is seeking a rewarding graduate position in mental health.

Within my role at Prevention Magazine I was responsible for writing all news pages across health, wellbeing, mind, nutrition and fitness. I also wrote regular monthly health and lifestyle features and interviewed women for real life stories as well as celebrities for our back page celebrity profile, along with the occasional cover story.

I was a freelance content writer for Body + Soul during this period and wrote across all lifestyle topics including: health, wellness, sex, food, fitness.

During my time freelancing for News Corp I produced online content for leading wellbeing site 'my Body + Soul' across health, wellbeing, beauty and fitness (including yoga topics specifically, supplying copy and imagery as I am also a qualified 200hr yoga teacher). Within my role as digital content producer I wrote and produced seven articles each week across all areas of the site including: health, nutrition, fitness, sex and relationships and wellness.

For three months prior to the magazines closure, I wrote a series of features articles for Women's Fitness magazine. Please see article samples as attached.

Over the course of a year and a half I was a regular contributor for Fairfax Media, writing regular health and wellness content across three of their sites and freelancing from both Sydney and London.For the first ten months I was asked to be a regular contributor for newly launched health and wellbeing websites - 'BodyPass' and ​'The Juice Daily​' (featured within the 'health and fitness' vertical of Fairfax Media's major news sites including Sydney Morning Herald and The Age) and wrote weekly content for their sites.During this period I wrote between 2-4 news stories a week across the areas of health, fitness, nutrition, wellbeing and travel. Within this role, I had the freedom to pitch original ideas but was also able to be commissioned content as per the editor's request as well. During this period, 'The Juice Daily' ​was in partnership with Fairfax’s newly launched fitness website 'Bodypass' (a gym pass network) so I was given access to key health and fitness leaders, road-tested so many workouts and studios in Sydney and established a large network of contacts in the health space. I then began writing for 'Good Food' Fairfax's food site, writing nutrition and health food trend content. In this time I also established a strong network of food industry and nutrition contacts. As the titles all were housed within the Fairfax network, my articles regularly featured on the homepage of Sydney Morning Herald ​and ​The Age​ and reached millions of Australians readers each day.In addition I also had the opportunity to dabble in travel writing, covering a story in the Mediterranean doing yoga on a sailboat and wrote health content for The Age newspaper as well.

Initially I began as a Content Editor at The Cogworks (a web development company), assisting with the content editing and migration of their client Reckitt Benckiser but within a short time I was promoted to Social Media Manager. As the Social Media Manager I was responsible for handling all seven of their social media platforms (including their tech festival accounts 'Umbraco UK' and 'Umbraco Poland'), producing daily content, monitoring brand image and increasing their social media reach through campaigns, blog content and innovative engagement initiatives. In addition to day-to-day social media management and production, I also was responsible for running the campaign updates throughout their sponsored tech festivals (Umbraco UK and Umbraco Poland), coordinating and running all public relations and marketing activity for both the company and additionally writing, producing and editing all of The Cogworks blog material.

For six months I was a contributing writer at ​Women’s Health​ Magazine, working part-time (in-house for the publication) as a news writer.I was responsible for writing all health, fitness, weight loss, nutrition and sex content, managing the expert questions, copywriting social media content and editing/contributing to any other additional articles where necessary.

As the first Femail reporter employed during the initial launch of the vertical in Australia I was responsible for writing all women's lifestyle content and reported across everything from fashion, health, fitness, relationships, sex, real-life stories, food and reality TV. During this time I had the opportunity to report on large industry events including the 'TV Week Logie Awards Red Carpet Fashion,' the debut of the 'Nike NTC Tour' in Sydney and the annual 'Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.'

As the News and Features Writer, I was responsible for writing all print articles, social media content and website content.Within the role I interviewed all health experts, profile candidates and industry leaders, attended health and fitness events and liaised with key public relation companies and advertisers, road-tested new fitness trends and wrote online reviews alongside producing lifestyle content (organising still-life shoots as well as compiling product pages).I also attended the global collaboration of fitness brands ​Les Mills ​and ​Reebok ​in London in May 2014 and reported on the collaboration.

As editorial coordinator at the newly launched magazine Women's Fitness, I was responsible for all magazine administration as well acting as a personal assistant to the editor and writing additional content where necessary.Within my day-to-day, I handled all administration tasks - managing general enquiries, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, organising postal deliveries, overseeing the finances of the magazine (costings, converga invoices), organising photoshoots, hiring and coordinating interns and attending brand events on behalf of the magazine.Editorially I was responsible for writing features, managing social media content, styling product pages (beauty and lifestyle), compiling content pages, voxpop surveys, letter and stockist pages and writing advertorial and online content.
