Sam's heart and life have been impacted by time spent with others, especially people with developmental and intellectual disabilities. He spends his time outside the workplace reading a good book over a cup of coffee. Currently, Sam is working in HR and Recruitment for L'Arche St. Louis, a community of people with and without disabilities who share in intentional community together. Sam started at L'Arche in 2018 as an Assistant, where he was impacted and challenged in many ways to imagine community differently. He is passionate about creating a world where people are celebrated for their uniqueness, rather than marginalized for it. Sam has experienced, first hand, the gifts of people with disabilities; gifts of welcome, care, and trust. He now has a desire to help create, and be a part of, communities of belonging where each person is accepted, celebrated, and free to be themselves.
