A 2,653 mile display of determination, fitness, and planning through one of the highest snow years in recent history. This a a backpacker's trail that extends from the Mexico to Canada and in order to succeed, requires an all-in mentality. On a technical standpoint, one of the highlights was walking out of a grocery store with 400 lbs of food to be individually packaged and shipped upon my sat-phone messages. All projects require planning, few require you to put your plans where your stomach is! I gave a presentation of my trip upon returning, feel free to read it below.

-Developed and transitioned low-TRL composite manufacturing processes on SBIR contracts-Lead-designer and subsequently project manager of a composite cargo pallet for the CH-53K Helicopter.-Won 3 SBIR-related contracts with win-average of 75% and high probability of transition to Phase II until company eligibility was lost through acquisition-Mentored and trained junior engineers in workstation design, fixture design, layout, process, work methods, and material handling.

-Spear-headed the design, build, and test of an aero package comprising of 3 forward wings, 1 rear wing, and an under-tray utilizing Rutan-Style construction techniques. This was the first aero package in the team's history.-Design, build, and test of carbon fiber A-arms with aluminum end-fittings.-Design, build, and test of an aluminum honeycomb impact attenuator.-Design, build and test of all composite features such as fiberglass and carbon nosecone, fairing, seat, dashboard, and headrest using wet-layup, vacuum-bagging technique and room temperature curing resin systems.
