Underground ForemanSt Barbara Mining Ltd [Client] 2012 - Dec 2014Gwalia Mine, Leonora W.AHIGHLIGHTS: Achieving Record tonnes delivering Approximately 12,000 oz over the projected yearly target with a new business contract partner Byrnecut Mining. This was a very difficult task due to the fact that this was a whole new team of people who did not know the mine and the mining method we were using at the time, which was slashing against the paste for the stopes then paste-fill the stope with 7 percent cement and sand to fill the plug then fill the rest of the stope with a 4 percent mix. On completion of the curing time for the stope-fill we would mine back through the paste to the next stope. We have now changed the stope method to a double lift stoping method. -

General Mine Foreman/Underground Shift Supervisor/OperatorHwe Mining Company 2008 - 2009Callie Mine NtHIGHLIGHT: Cut the portal at the Wattle Dam project, This was a very professional project where HWE used it as there show case mine to win new contracts. The whole set up from outside on the batter wall to inside the mine where all services and electrical cables and ventilation were presented in a uniform set up in rows of pipes on one wall electrical cables on the opposite wall and ventilation run down the middle of the decline. Very clean cut job a lot of personal satisfaction gained from this project.

They had been looking for 5 days, when they called me back, I can proudly say I found them within 5hours, by re-looking at the helicopters flight plan, fuel load and area covered, to find the fuel did not cover the extra flight plan they traveled, therefore I created a more defined and specific area and personally going on the search, found and confirmed sighting, then commenced recovery, of which I feel strongly within this Industry, is to respectfully “return the miner’s and pilots home”.
