Member of the Asia Pacific team, focusing on Japanese and Australian clients to manage their insurance risk. I coordinate large reinsurance placements for natural catastrophes across international markets. This involves extensive client engagement, understanding of global macro trends to keep clients informed and working toward optimal solutions. These projects cover a broad range of topics, including: capital adequacy and solvency challenges; addressing regulatory requirements; enterprise risk management; earnings stability; shareholder targets; underwriting practices; sustainability frameworks and reinsurance vehicle analysis. Active internal and external relationship management in order to achieve optimal results for our clients. My role includes analysis of financial and insurance risk, such as: capital and earnings protection; climate change impact to natural catastrophes and portfolio exposure analysis.

Working in the North American Treaty team structuring and placing property and agriculture reinsurance programmes. I executed a range of placements to mitigate client risk. This involved an understanding of key parameters and inferring the main rationale for my clients which comprised a broad range of insurance companies. Analysis involved understanding of Enterprise Risk Management; internal risk thresholds; company financials; strategic business plans; risk tolerance levels; regulatory frameworks and requirements. I forged strong external relationships with clients and underwriters. Nominated for the Insurance Insider Rising Star award.

Completed the Marsh Graduate Scheme 2011-2013, achieving Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) status. Working as a broker in the National Corporate Practice, I placed retail Property and Casualty programmes for UK domiciled businesses. I developed a strong knowledge of clients across a range of industry sectors and the ability to identify the main challenges these businesses faced and how to manage these through risk transfer and mitigation practices.

Selected for a secondment for two major international projects:1) Major Eurozone review of Asset Quality across globally significant banks. Based on Madrid, I orchestrated OW teams across different countries to improve working collaboration and leverage knowledge and experience. Member of the Quality Assurance team in Spain analysing reports for banks across a range of asset classes. 2) Strategised in a BCBS 239 Risk Data and Risk Reporting project at a leading Canadian bank for 14 weeks based in Toronto. This involved reviewing risk and data reporting across their portfolio of products and different areas of the bank to provide high level strategic direction and efficiency improvements.
