I worked as a machinist for 6 years with M&A Engineering in Milford Haven prior to beginning my BEng in Motorsport Engineering at University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Swansea. These were incredibly important years of my life, teaching me critical personal and engineering skills, giving me a strong foundation for my studies and future employment possibilities. During my first 2 years at University I was part of the University's Sports 2000 team, a student led team running 2 cars in a highly competitive race series with Tim Tudor of UWTSD and John Iley, former Technical Director of Caterham F1 as the team's drivers. In my second year I was fortunate enough to be the Team Leader, developing the cars and the team members to improve our position in the series. Tim in car 40# and John in car 44# finished the 2021 S2000 season in 6th and 12th respectively in the Duratec A standings of the 2022 season, a great achievement when considering the budgetary constraints of our team and race experience of the other drivers in the series. In August of 2022, I was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to work as a Wind Tunnel Engineer on a 12 month placement at Williams racing for F1 development. Working in a Formula 1 environment since August has given me amazing insight into the inner workings of such a company, showing just what it takes to be a part of Formula 1. I hope to continue on with my Formula 1 journey after my 1 year here is up, and see more of how teams develop and race to the highest level,
