3 month work placement organised as part of my Level 7 Postgraduate Degree with The Event Academy.My internship was at DRJ events, where I helped to organise a music and lifestyle event “Good Vibrations Society’’ which has just had its inaugural year with amazing results & feedback. My key responsibilities included:Sourcing suppliers (eg catering, glamping, hot tubs), negotiating costs and presenting proposals to directors. Maintaining communication between team members and the Event Directors, ensuring that all the event staff have regular updates on the progress of the event.Managing key zones of the event such as the kids area, which entails creative development, liaison with suppliers, budget management. Google analytics – preparing and delivering weekly reports to the general management team and directors, keeping them up to date with ticket sales and social channel numbers.

I was responsible for developing important B2B customer relationships across the retail pharmacy and drug store channel in North America for a pharmaceutical manufacturing and distribution company, with locations in the UK, USA and Canada. Bioactive Pharma Ltd is the UK holding company for a group of companies involved in the research, development, manufacture and distribution of a range of cosmetics, natural medicines and pharmaceuticals within several international markets. Our technology centres around the refining and purification of sustainably sourced crude propolis - a natural antimicrobial substance produced by honeybees and which is largely a waste by-product of the honey/bee farming industry. Our long-term focus is on the development of a range of highly effective naturally based skin treatments to help combat pressure sores in the elderly, treat skin borne infections and the development of a range of products to treat the symptoms of cold sores. My main focus was the introduction and distribution of the Herstat® brand across the US. Herstat® is a highly efficacious product for the relief of the symptoms of cold sores.
