About Sam Benson, P.Eng.

I'm an engineer currently working in mechanical and I&C design performing highly-varied projects for clients in the Canadian nuclear industry. I also have previous nuclear experience in lab work (CGD, EQ, SQ) as well as R&D.I'm highly-driven and results-oriented, with a passion for analysis, troubleshooting, and modeling. I have background in nuclear, thermal, fluid, and electronic system design and analysis. I am always excited to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Qualified as a Design Engineering Lead, FMEA Lead, and in the use of both ANSYS CFX (computational fluid dynamics) and PIPE-FLO (hydraulic network analysis).Of particular interest to me are reactor systems, measurement & detection, reliability/resiliency, safety analysis, and BDBA coping and mitigation.I'm also actively looking for volunteer opportunities in Environment & Conservation in Bruce, Grey, and/or Huron counties.
