I have been engaged continuously in the field of Oriental art since January 1978. Duringthis time I have authored ten volumes on Oriental art, twenty articles relevant to my fieldand given numerous seminars and lectures to collector’s groups both in the United Statesand the People’s Republic of China. I have appraised both public and private collectionsof Oriental art in twelve countries. In 1995, I appraised the jade works of art in the AveryBrundage Collection of the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco.As a specialist dealer in Chinese art, I have consulted with and advised the NationalEndowment for the Arts, various museums, institutions, insurance companies, UnitedStates Customs, auction houses, and private collectors as an expert in my field. I havebeen called upon to provide expert testimony in matters related to my field in judicialproceedings.
