Te Uru Rākau - New Zealand Forest ServiceMember of the Sector & Bioeconomy (investment) team, aiming to increase investment across the forestry and wood processing value chain in the context of economic transformation to a low-carbon future.Principal deliverable of the Directorate is the Forestry and Wood Processing Industry Transformation Plan.Personally responsible for:- facilitating investment initiatives with industry and across government partners - wood processing and emerging bioenergy production.- industrial policy research and analysis - stimulating investment in wood processing, obtaining and implementing funded investment initiatives, business cases/feasibility studies, coordinating across govt;- advising on the wood market and value chain - wood processing, energy, demand levers, markets & market development (construction), trade, resources, labour, climate change/carbon accounting and market tools, supply chains- led and progressed the Products & Markets workstream of the ITP - developing the demand-side initiatives that support the sector to provide to both domestic and international wood product markets as part of a future transformed industry.- principal internal point of contact for supply chain issues for the sector- general policy duties - advice to Minister(s), Ministerial correspondence, OIAs etc
