Gis Analyst
Acquire, assess quality, develop and maintain GIS layers and geodatabases using ArcGIS 10.1.Process, convert, georeference, geocode, integrate and analyze various types of data using ArcGIS analytical tools, ArcGIS Spatial Analyst Extension and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets.Create thematic and aerial based maps at various scales and generate special graphics using ArcGIS, Photoshop and Power Point for reports, meetings, and presentations.Communicate with engineers and scientists to provide their requests for maps, data and calculations to support NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) document preparation for transportation planning. Perform field work by first preparing field maps of the study area. Work with scientists in the field to collect data, acquire GPS coordinates, take pictures and mark up maps.
