Meekatharra, Fraser Range

I began this role in early February 2014. The contract involved supervising the drilling of an exploration programme targeting EM anomalies on Doolgunna station, 140km North of Meekatharra. The purpose of the targeting was to test high EM results over a sedex depositional environment, prospective for copper-gold mineralisation. The initial drilling ran from early February until mid-April. Once the Doolgunna programme was completed I then continued on to another programme targeting Nickel on Southern Hills station 100km East of Norseman. This programme ran from mid April until the end of May. This programme used EM to target Ultramafic Nickel mineralisation.

Tanzania

I began this role in January 2012. Project involved planning and implementing an REE Resource Definition drilling programme over a Ca-Mg Carbonatite plug. The primary mineralisation was hosted in the regolith which followed a karstic profile with some ultramafic intrusions. The project was located in a remote wilderness area in South West Tanzania. The role involved managing all site related operations over the drill season whilst on site and performing site support whilst in Perth. I finished in April 2013 due to redundancy at the completion of the field campaign.

Meekatharra, Western Australia

This role was based in Meekatharra and involved a short term contract drilling over quartz hosted gold lode in mafic (Dolerite) intrusives.I began this contract in August and finished in late December. The contract involved supervising the RC drilling over theflagship 'Andy well' deposit and mentoring junior geologists.

East Pilbara, Western Australia

This role involved exploration targeting and drilling for predominantly Copper Sulphides in sedimentary hosted settings. The regional geology comprised carbonaceous shales and siltstones of the Neoproterozoic Broadhurst formation and the Coolbro Sandstone formation. The Nifty mine is a structurally controlled deposit in a synclinal setting. This formed the basis for the exploration model, looking for analogous geophysical characteristics. Due to the general lack of out outcrop, geophysics and historic drilling formed the basis for much of the targeted drilling over the more remote greenfields tenements. During the last 5 month period I was the sole geologist in the exploration department.
