PhD Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Galway, focusing on the development of multi-physics and patient-specific digital twin models for predictive transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) modelling. Research interests include computational modelling, machine learning and cardiovascular biomechanics.Previously, I have completed a ME and BSc in Biomedical Engineering at University College Dublin. My masters thesis was conducted in collaboration with Boston Scientific and involved the development of a finite element model to predict the in vitro performance of a TAVR device.I have also completed various internships within the cardiovascular medical device industry. As part of my ME degree, I completed an 8-month placement at Boston Scientific Galway. During this time I worked as a R&D Engineering Co-op in the Structural Heart department, where I gained significant insight into the design and development of TAVR systems.
