Critical processes include store design, production of scopes, tendering to a growing contractor base and negotiation of accounts as well as managing the on site process through to completion of defect liability periods. Whilst the majority of projects are UK and Ireland, I am also responsible for ensuring the store development aspect of our partnership with Alshaya is completed to brand standard across the Middle East, inlcuding design approval, quotation and managing shipments of UK manufactured furniture. We are also developing the local procurement opportunities as we progress.The biggest challenge to date has been collaboratively managing the conversion, rebranding and opening to trade of 210 concessions within Tesco stores with a construction programme of under 18 weeks. We met the enormous challenge of rolling out up to 12 new "Vision Express at Tesco" concessions each week across the UK and Ireland. Show less
