My background is in physics, computer science, and mathematics. I currently work as an Algorithms R&D Engineer at RefleXion medical, working on developing cutting edge techniques in radiotherapy and PET imaging.Previously I worked as a software engineer at Google. I have a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Yale University. My dissertation focused on using information theory and non-equilibrium statistical mechanics to understand information processing in biological physics.I am a lifelong software developer. Despite working at Google, I would say that most of my development experience is in passion projects -- I have been building robust open-source applications for over a decade. I am passionate about well-designed scalable code.
