For 10 months I worked on the U.S. Senate campaign for Congressman David Trone as his Digital Media Producer. In a full time capacity, I traveled on the road with him across Maryland, taking photos and videos of every event he attended. I would film a range of events such as meet & greets, public forums, debates, award ceremonies, etc. I created all his digital content for use in social media, YouTube, his website, mailers, and some footage that was used in his TV ads. I worked on the road with him between 6 and 7 days a week, capturing content at roughly 6-8 events per day. In addition to being the only digital staff on the road with him, I was also the principal video editor. I would edit the footage from events into recap videos, typically during the 1 day of the week I was not traveling with him. I would also produce direct-to-camera videos that were created for holidays, special recognitions, direct responses to a news story, etc. When filming these “DTCs” I would set up lighting, multiple cameras, teleprompter with the script displayed, and microphones.

Associate producer for a daily baseball show on the MASN network called the Mid-Atlantic Sports Report. Assist in the formation of the show each morning in our daily meeting. Help construct the show’s segments in an AVID program called ‘iNEWS,’ then convert the show graphics into Microsoft Word for the show’s hosts to read on-air. Write the scripts for the highlights and other reads during the show. Clip video/audio of press conferences and footage MLB games using other AVID software to use during the show. Then run the soundboard during the live show, the duration of which is between an hour and two hours depending on the time of year and current point of the MLB season/game schedules.

Wrote press releases and media alerts for the firm’s clients. Pitched story ideas to local and national media on behalf of the clients. Sought new clients for the firm and provided costs/budgetary information. Analyzed commercials and wrote radio and television commercial scripts for clients. Discussed details of advertising spot purchases with companies such as ESPN, HGTV, NBC, etc. Compiled contact information for future and current clients. Researched national commercial trends and reviewed data of client ad campaigns.

Worked in the shipping warehouse doing inventory and packaging. Drove both a box truck and sprinter van to make home deliveries and managed customer pick-up sites. At customer pickup sites, I would arrange the grocery cargo in order of customers and set up the box truck presentation (unfurl roof cover attachment, set up tables, advertising displays and free produce section). I would then login to Relay’s data system on iPad and check customer orders for items to ensure everything was correct. As customers arrived I would get their name and retrieve their order, once again checking items in bags with iPad order form and bag their groceries. Lastly, I would select and approve all of the customer’s items in Relay’s online data system thus establishing each item as complete and the order as received successfully.
