I am a highly motivated and charismatic Product Design engineer who is constantly looking to take on new challenges and continue to d myself to continuous self-development in my technical role as a product designer, as well as seeking increased commercial awareness including customer-facing opportunities and product road-mapping. My drive is the product development process, from initial concept and idea to the eventual launch and marketing of the product. I aim to move towards a Technical Product Management and a leadership of people role.I have proven competencies acting as a project manager for several high-level projects, motivating teams, reporting to key stakeholders and showing a strong ability of public speaking when it comes to presenting gate reviews. Overseen and been involved in the development of a number CAD models for a range of products, from complex certified plastic enclosures for several of our new security products, to metalwork for our fire platform.

The project is part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership, which brings the latest academic thinking (in this case from UWS) to deliver a specific, strategic innovative project. The innovative nature of this project offered plenty of opportunities to step out of comfort zones and take on brand new and new challenges. These challenges required quick learning curves and garnering new skills and techniques required for the lift industry. • Working with academic teams and directly with the company chairman to ensure the key requirements for the design meet the business expectations, while also working within all design limitation • Completing large interactive design assemblies with multiple interdependent sub-assemblies and parts • Working with multiple design configurations to create modular design framework to meet different design requirements and specifications• Learnt and understand lift standards (EN81-20, EN81-50 and EN81-41) on the job in order to adhere to their specific design requirements • Several structural static analyses completed on sub-assemblies and specific componentry to ensure they meet permissible forces applied to them, keeping to acceptable safety factors• Completed hand calculations based on specific mechanical formulas that are provided as part of the lift standards.
