We built Copper to solve one of the thorniest electrification barriers (electrical upgrades), while scaling energy storage to support the clean grid at the same time. To start, we're building a beautiful, battery-enabled induction stove to make it simple to get off gas.

At Rewiring America, I've focused on policy-making and technical storytelling to build the electrification movement. This includes working to craft and pass the IRA, as well as help guide its implementation. It's also meant lots of writing (including a book, Electrify, and a series, Circuit Breakers), and walking around talking to people about heat pumps.

Elmworks is commercializing an additive manufacturing technology for electromagnetic devices that I developed during my PhD. These devices include lots of things required for electrification (solid state transformers, wireless power, and electric motors), as well as lots of fun things (audio equipment, sensors, haptics, physical user interfaces, etc.).
