Medical Scribe for Dr. Owen Perlman, MD, at APM&R in Ypsilanti, Michigan. My work consists of prepping and formulating patient charts, keeping updated and thorough notes in patient appointments, and making sure everything is written correctly. This is a great experience and will allow me to learn a lot about an important specialty of the medical field as I apply to medical school on my gap year.

Clinical research on ALS

Head sports instructor for JCC day camps for the summer of 2022. I worked with kids in grades K-5 and helped them enjoy their camp experience while teaching valuable lessons that related to sports and how to work as a team.

Summer camp counselor (overnight) for incoming 8th graders, fun and great experience to be a role model for younger kids.

Medical mentorship program of shadowing a physician 2 times a week. Gained insight on the daily activities of a physician as well as patient exposure, in which I gained knowledge on the communication and relationship building with patients and coworkers.

Part time work and doing things around the office as well as gaining some medical office exposure. Also learning the system software and becoming familiar with data entry and retrieval.
