I completed a degree in Arboriculture and Tree Management in May 2021 and have since undertaken RPL to gain a Diploma in Arboriculture (AQF 5). I have also completed a National award in Forestry and Arboriculture (Level 3) and an Environmental conservation Certificate (Level2). I have experience with multiple LGA’s and I’m currently working as a Consulting Arborist. Over the last decade I have worked my way up from the ground within the Arboricultural Industry. I began as a Groundsman, evolved into a Climber, progressed to a Team leader and eventually became a Contract Climber. I would then find myself completing my degree alongside working as an Environmental Arboricultural Consultant across four lead Environmental Organisations, FPCR, Xylem Consulting, Trees are Cool and The Tree Doctor. This allowing me to become a confident Consultant learning from experienced and innovative Consultants within the Arboricultural Industry I have a very diverse, vast and varied skill set I am proud of as I have worked as an Arborist for over ten years; working across the United Kingdom, Bermuda and Australia where I now reside permanently. Due to the nature of my travel history, I have had to have the ability to navigate, comprehend and process relevant legislation, statutory guidelines, and safe work practices across the three countries I have worked. I believe this demonstrates my capability to use my initiative as well as commitment to keeping up with relevant and up to date best practices for our Industry. A strength of mine is my aptitude to identify a broad range of trees, plants and weeds relevant to the local area and/or country I am working in.I have a passion for wildlife especially arboreal mammals, I am interested in pursuing a career in Conservation and Management relating to native flora and fauna as well as fire hazard reduction.
