I'm a multi-award winning journalist of more than 20 years' experience, working across print, broadcast and digital, in a variety of editorial roles. Having worked in regional newspapers for 13 years, I made a successful transition to broadcast, at ITV News Calendar based in Leeds, in 2016.In the years since then I have performed a variety of roles: on-screen journalist; news editor, programme producer; strategic planner. In my current role as digital content editor I am responsible for driving digital strategy; leading a team researching writing and curating accurate, engaging digital content that is optimised for search; and leading on innovative editorial projects. I'm an effective leader, with extensive line management experience, an excellent communicator, adaptable and resilient with excellent people skills and an effective leadership and management style. I'm ambitious and hard-working and keen to bring an extensive skillset to a dynamic and forward-thinking team.
