The Business and Industrial Processes (BIP) Team work on a number of policy areas that focus on reducing emissions within the business sector to contribute to the achievement of the Government's Net Zero objectives. As part of this team my main responsibilities have included:- Providing project support to aid in the implementation and delivery of various projects to further the departments objectives within the Climate Action Plan, Net Zero Technology Sectoral Plan, and wider government objectives. E.g. Energy Intensive Industries Scheme, and Green Innovation Challenge Fund pilot.- Monitoring and promotion of funding sources for business and industry, including publication of Net Zero E-zine.- Coordinating and drafting Machinery of Government returns.- Engaging with key stakeholders and other government Departments to ensure that policy and legislation proposals align and support wider Departmental objectives.- Assist with evidence gathering into key policy areas.

Main responsibilities have included:• Providing project support on two major Telecoms projects for Northern Ireland, Project Stratum and Project Gigabit, which aim to provide ubiquitous gigabit capable broadband across NI. • Assisting with the management of branch finances and completion monthly/annual departmental returns.• Management responsibilities for the project Vouching and Verification team.

Working within the PwC Entity Governance and Compliance team, I was responsible for supporting large multinational entities and UK private companies with ongoing governance and compliance support. This consisted of monitoring and tracking companies’ legal compliance obligations; including preparing and filing companies’ annual returns with Companies House, reviewing annual accounts statements, alongside supporting any additional corporate secretarial services, such as assisting companies with day-to-day corporate changes, for example board appointments and resignations.
