Supporting both the in and out of barracks NATO SECRET communication system hosting core NATO applications which provides interoperability with the NATO Command Structure and its partners. Key technologies used include Active Directory, DNS, DPM, Lync 2010, Lync 2013, DHCP, Exchange 2010, and Exchange 2013.Assisting with the build of self-contained server nodes including installing and configuring Exchange servers and associated DAG and CAS Array; installing and configuring Microsoft Lync servers and ensuring all nodes are kept up to date with software updates using Microsoft WSUS.Virtualisation using Microsoft Hyper V and Virtual Machine Management technologies.Investigating and resolving second line support incidents assigned by the Service Desk.

• First and Second line technical support to military communication systems (HF, VHF, UHF and IT systems)• Deploy to remote locations around the UK, Germany and Canada to install, manage and maintain communication systems.• Deploy to Kenya as a 2-man team to provide all levels of IT support in a demanding IT environment. • Management and personnel development both trade and military skills of junior soldiers.
