Vision Australia is a not for profit organisation working with people who are blind or vision impaired to assist them in living the life they choose to live.I have worked at Vision Australia since January 2002 initially as a Case Manager for 8 years before moving into project work.My background in social welfare has given me many practical skills that have assisted me in working with a wide range of people througout the different roles I have worked in. I have great listening skills and genuinely enjoy working with people. Project work is a great fit for me as I am; organised, clear thinking, logical, happy working alone or with others, reliable, hard working, flexible, enjoy a challenge and love learning new things. The types of projects I have been involved with over the years generally center around the services we provide to clients and how they can be improved. More recently in has included supporting the adoption of many changes within our organisation as a result of a new strategic plan and the introduction of individualised funding with the NDIS and My Aged Care.There are a number of areas I am keenly interested in some of these include; knowledge management, continuous improvement, and more recently change management and re-upholstering chairs!
