I recently joined the Board of the Chamber of Commerce. I have a specific focus on environmental and training challenges for the private sector in the Falkland Islands.

The Falkland Islands Hockey Association is a sports charity that develops the sport of inline, ice and Dek hockey in the Falkland Islands. We became a registered charity in 2022. We run the hockey League in the Falklands, and coordinate regional tournaments in Punta Arenas.

Atlink are a Falkland Islands based company with strong history in quality and health and safety, and being one of the first companies in the Falklands to be ISO 9001:2015 and 45001:2018 certificated, have then helped other local companies adopt these standards. The Projects Coordinator role has been developed to explore new areas for growth for Atlink, and to ensure that the ISO standards and approach are brought to new business sectors within the Falklands.

This exciting role in the FCO allowed me to gain valuable insight into the role of the UK Government in the Falklands, the workings of governments(both Falkland Islands Government and the UK), and public diplomacy.

Leading on Health and Safety policy development and regulatory compliance for the Falkland Islands offshore oil and gas industry.

Treatment and delivery of high quality drinking water to approx. 3000 people in Stanley (Falkland Islands), including all aspects of logistics and managing a small team of staff. it also included raw water abstraction, regulatory compliance and quality assurance, and project delivery.

Offshore Environmental Limited provides environmental engineering advisory services to the oil and gas industry. The company has specific focus on oil and gas companies operating in the Falkland Islands.

Providing chemical, emissions, and waste monitoring and reporting related to regulatory compliance to the Falkland Islands Government.Other responsibilities include:Environmental awareness training offshore and to third parties, Environmental auditing (including bio-security), Fisheries liaison, Public engagement and feedback.

Drilling production wells West of Shetland from a semi-submersible 3rd generation drilling rig. Also completed onshore engineering and design aspects in Aberdeen with a rotational offshore well site component. Focusing on wellsite drilling engineering calculations, reporting, incident review, sub-sea completions.London based engineering work including: well design and engineering, drilling optimisation, contract drafting, and arranging manufacture of drilling components.

Graduate drilling engineer role, including wellsite engineering calculations(casing, cementing and drilling hydraulics), rig commissioning, incident investigation, and completing sub-sea from a jack up. Also included onshore engineering support role based in Ho-Chi Minh.

Industry placement to complete a research project on the use of Simultaneous Water and Gas Injection, as part of my Petroleum Engineering MSc qualification.

I am responsible for providing:Waste Management and monitoring including trans-frontier shipments of waste, Ensuring bio-security plan is being adhered to.Maintaining and monitoring oil spill equipment, Environmental end of well reporting,Data collection.

• Collating, analysing and reporting upon data from the Falkland Islands hydrocarbons industry, such as seismic, drilling, and environmental survey reports.• Management of Environmental Impact Statements and Oil Spill Contingency Plan consultation process. • Responsibility for publicity material for conferences and the public.• Provide department with regular reports on global hydrocarbon industry trends. • Security of confidential information. • Building relationships with hydrocarbon exploration companies in the Falkland Islands

This role was to deliver a successful scoping project examining the impact of predatory raptors (birds of prey) upon livestock. I had responsible for delivery of successful scoping project, budget management, project planning and management. Concomitant with these responsibilities I also submitted scientific and general reports (including second authoring a published research note), and multiple successful funding applications. Throughout this role I worked with collaborators from Universities and NGO's from the UK and USA. I also produced newspaper articles, magazine, and organised radio coverage of the project.
