My research focuses on developing and using advanced machine-learning tools to process high dimensional phenotypic data, with the goal of identifying and commercializing novel drug targets. At Phenomic, we've built one of the worlds largest scRNA datasets focused on targeting solid tumours. Leveraging this we're now identifying and pursuing a highly selective targets on the tumour stroma, the web of connective tissue that permeates cancer and is a key factor in progression. Our lead target is a previously un-drugged component of the extra-cellular matrix, that demonstrates efficacy in vivo, in human tissue samples, and we think could be game changing for a number of the most difficult cases. Together, let's bring down cancer's wall.I completed my PhD with the department of Computational Medicine at Imperial College, with Prof. Robert Glen as well as the Dynamical Cell Systems team at the Institute of Cancer Research, supervised by Dr. Chris Bakal, focused on using computational tools for answering fundamental questions in cancer biology.In my spare time I like the sea and snow.
