Working as a UX Design specialist I was a part of a design team developing successful digital solutions. I developed and applied design skills in; service design, interaction design and graphic design or combination. Working as a part time Graphic Designer alongside my university studies I was responsible for completing all artwork and design responsibilities for the company. I developed and applied design skills in; graphic design and communication with customers and queries. I also carried out the following: - Spoke with customers on the phone and in person to understand their needs. I also regularly worked alongside the customer to quickly produce mockups and high quality designs. I gained a great deal of communication skills, especially improving in my clarity and explanation. I would also be required to list potential products that would be suitable for the customers needs, including paper/card stock type, colours, print format and sizes.- Use Adobe software packages to produce industry quality designs.- Use industry standard printing equipment to produce leaflets, posters, flyers, banners.- Worked with customers to produce branding designs and style guides.- Organised workload to meet tight deadlines. - Checked and proof read work carefully in order to reduce printing and design areas

Working as a Digital Marketing Apprentice at the career’s charity, Adviza, was a formative experience for me. During this time, I was able to learn what it takes to thrive and perform in a professional role. I worked with a marketing manager to meet social media growth targets. I also collaborated with digital leads, account managers and upper management in the organisation to spread awareness of campaigns.
