As a recent graduate at QUT, I have joined Energy Queensland to address the emerging challenges the industry faces in its transition to net zero. With a double degree in Electrical Engineering (Honours) and Economics, my understanding of both technical and business aspects of the power industry ensure that I am well-placed to tackle these challenges.My career began in customer-facing roles that developed my communication, flexibility and teamwork skills, allowing me to progress to a management role, where I led cross-functional teams, implemented strategic initiatives, and fostered a collaborative work environment. I then moved into the electrical industry as a project and design engineer, where I developed innovative solutions for clients on a range of projects and ensured stakeholder outcomes were maximised. Following this, I was offered my current position as a graduate engineer at Energy Queensland through the Future of Energy Engineering Scholarship.
