I pride myself in being determined, dedicated and hard working, currently operating within the Merchant industry as an assistant manager in Jewson. Where I have learnt how to manage the operations side of a business, such as stock processing, branch finances, health and safety, logistics management and team leading.Prior to this, I spent almost 6 years at Bradfords Building Supplies in a variety of roles in medium - large branches including a toolhire assistant, a yard assistant and a shop assistant however I spent the majority of my time as a sales advisor. It is here I developed a lot of my understanding of selling techniques and product knowledge. It is also here I developed the foundations of my knowledge of business management.Despite participating in various in-house management training courses, I have also been working on a self driven development plan where I have completed a level 4 certificate in business management with the Open University.In my spare time, I teach self defence martial arts to both children and adults of various capabilities, coaching them and encouraging them into improving their abilities.In addition to this, I also set up and run a group of young motorcycle riders. In which, I mentor them in motorcycle maintenance/repairs and safe riding practices. In the process of this, we support a number of charity events for organisations such as the Air Ambulance and Blood Bikes. I am a keen learner, and am always seeking opportunities to develop myself both personally and professionally.I love working with people, as a colleague, customer or business to business and I am always welcoming of a new challenge.
