In the future, I would like to use my physics degree to research and solve significant climate and technological issues and make the world a more sustainable and healthier environment. This would help me to act on my values and interests in increasing life quality for humans and animals. To enable this, I am studying for a Bachelor of Science, majoring in physics. I am learning organisational, communication, technological, and adaptability skills through multidisciplinary and physics-based laboratory environments and various hospitality and educational jobs. Throughout my first year of university, I was tasked with multiple maths and physics assignments and exams for which I had to learn new content. To do this, I used my organisational skills to study the required material promptly and to meet assessment deadlines. This resulted in high distinctions in all maths and physics subjects in my first year of university. I have also worked at a tutoring centre, where I was tasked with ensuring that multiple students at a time were focused on and understood their work. To do this, I used my communication skills to consistently ask students if help was needed, to assist those having trouble, and to ensure all students were focused respectfully. My actions resulted in the students learning new skills in numeracy and literacy and efficiently completing their work. The people I work for also consistently praise my efforts in tutoring to the best of my ability.
