Developing requirements and test procedures for the Train Control Subsystems team, a group that designs and tests control systems for Wabtec Freight and Equipment Services locomotive features.

Rotational program involving 3-4 positions over 2 years. Currently working as a Subsystem Engineer for the MCA team. Have worked as a Systems Engineer as a member of the Electrical Integration team in Freight and an Electrical Design Engineer on the Locotrol team in Digital Intelligence.

During my internship I worked on an individual design project with the Wabtec Electronics Team. My work included abstract, design-based problem-solving, component selection on websites such as Mouser and Digikey, schematic design on Altium Designer, PCB design, assembling a prototype with surface mount parts on a PCB, and testing the prototype using C code with the PICkit 4 and MPLAB X IDE. Along the way, I described my work on a formal design review, coordinated with members of the Electronics and Controls team while working on my design, and conducted a formal design review successfully on my prototype schematic/PCB with a Principle Engineer.

Managed a variety of intramural sports leagues and tournaments at the University of Notre Dame.
