Official FunctionTasks & Responsibilities:• Lead of a mono- or multidisciplinary team of engineers.• Prepare an estimate for the team activities.• Review and monitor team activities with regard to quality, planning and budget.• Maintain contact with the internal departments and with clients, subcontractors and sub-suppliers (such as engineering firms).• Design (or assigning the task to) design of basic concepts, P&ID's and calculations for main and auxiliary systems for new ships designed by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) or Damen Shipyards Gorinchem (DSGo).• Review of P&ID’s from suppliers and/or subcontractors.• (Assigning the task for the) production and maintenance of a system functional description for ships and manuals required by a classification society or owners.• Check (or assigning the task to check) the practical applicability of technically solutions offered by suppliers and/or subcontractors.• Report to the project manager engineering.Projects:- Lead Engineer Systems for the Antarctic Supply & Research Vessel (ASRV) RSV Nuyina (1 ship, AAD/Serco- Australia)- Project Lead Engineering for the upgrade of the (MATV) MV Sycamore (1ship, RAN/Teekay- Australia)- Team Leader Systems for the Fishery Research Vessel (FRV) Walther Herwig (1 ship, BAW/BLE- Germany)- Team Leader Systems (basic- & detail engineering) for naval projects- System Architect Mechanical for naval projects- Project Lead Engineering Mechanical (Fachgruppenleiter Maschinenbau) for naval projects
