After accepting an offer from Axminster Tools to take part in their new Apprenticeship Scheme, which I was given, after applying for a role at the company, I began my career at Axminster in Sept 2008. This experience gave me a broad understanding of all departments and I was able to gain experience and knowledge throughout the business. Beginning in the Warehouse, I worked through all areas of the business, including 8 months at our local shop and was able to gain confidence and customer relations during this time. I was eventually awarded a role within the Contact Centre, as a "Customer Service Advisor" and found my feet in this department for a few years. For this role, I communicated regularly with third-party logistics, in order to resolve consignment queries for customers. Whilst resolving emails and phone calls efficiently, maintaining a high level of customer service and meeting SLAs.
