About Sam Dundon, Ph.D.
I am driven by a desire to untangle complex scientific problems in the pursuit of improving patient lives. I find it deeply fulfilling to creatively approach problem solving with diverse teams to make progress happen. My philosophy is to focus on the right question first and then decide on what experiment is best to answer it. I enjoy applying my organizational skills and effective communication strategies to lead teams to design, execute, and communicate rigorous experiments to move collaborative goals forward.I have 15 years experience in cell culture, quantitative fluorescence microscopy, biochemistry and molecular biology and genetic engineering spanning mammalian, fungal, plant, and bacterial systems. This experience makes me fluent in multiple layers of biological complexity, from individual amino acid residues to tissue building and developmental processes. I have trained and mentored dozens of scientists and have routinely had to engineer unique solutions to solving biological problems. I have experience building and leading teams that execute creatively and rapidly to meet project goals.
