I am an Undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh Dual Majoring in Computer Science and Digital Narrative & Interactive Design. I have always made a point of studying and analyzing narratives in different forms of media, such as television shows, books, video games, and more. Using the skills I learned from this hobby and exposure, I have a strong sense of narrative design, pacing, and technique. As a developer participating in Game Jams hosted by the University of Pittsburgh, I worked with a dedicated team of various talents to develop impactful games. As a narrative lead, I wrote storyboards detailing the paths the player would take and wrote various dialogue interactions between the player and the NPCs within the game. This helped me to improve my narrative designing skills, as well as allow me to demonstrate my strong sense of leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. As a co-developer, I used the Unity game engine to develop responsive microgames to challenge a player's resource management skills.As a software development intern at VISIMO, I worked in a small team to develop software solutions for a variety of company clients. Working with ReactJS and Material UI, I developed a proof of concept UI of a library system. Working with Python and Django REST Framework, I defined models, views, and controllers for the backend of a baseball statistics app. Here I practiced and improved my coding skills, my understanding of Agile development practices, and my teamwork skills on long-form projects.I currently work as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Intro to Java Programming and Computer Architecture classes at Pitt. This allows me to practice and improve upon my coding skills by helping others learn the basics of computer programming.
