Profile bio

About Sam Earney

My background is predominantly in stainless fabrication. I can offer help within installation or manufacturing management, material and componentry management or purchasing, and sheet metal draughting.I have been working in the sheet metal industry for ten years now. In the first four years, I completed my qualifications in Light Fabrication, where I built stainless vessels and machinery for the dairy and meat industry. From there I moved into management, where I helped produce automation machinery. Initially I started as a spare parts coordinator, this role involved managing the procurement, manufacture, and installation of spares for a family of machinery which were spread world-wide. Here I gained skills using Excel spread sheets and Enterprise Resource Planning Software, planning labour, and developing pricing strategies. After a year I then became a Project Engineer, where I helped the machinery production managers plan the manufacture of new machines or parts. From there I took on a Management / Design role and learnt to use Solid works and Inventor design programs, while managing basic fabrication solutions for the Wine Industry. Recently, I have become self-employed, and I offer my services to help with management, procurement and simple design of projects and jobs in New Zealand. This has involved working in the building of process factories for the dairy industry and small solutions for the wine industry.Over the years I have developed a love for the industry and the innovative culture within it. I have no problem working long hours and it would be amazing to get an opportunity to get amongst some more projects and help-out.Please browse my profile and see what I am about. I am very interested in any opportunities. I hope you will reach out to me!
