I came to the Mojave desert in 2014 to spend time outdoors, get my hands dirty and restore native habitat. I didn't expect to spend the next three years working in service of public lands . I worked with the Bureau of Land Management to ensure compliance with land management plans and gained valuable experience training and leading conservation crews with the Forest Service in the Shasta-Trinity NF (CA), Bridger-Teton NF (WY), and Humboldt-Redwoods State Park (CA).In 2017 I began working with Transition Habitat Conservancy, a non-profit land trust operating in the deserts and foothills of southern California. I fell in love with the land and I was inspired by the folks who had invested so much of their lives to this mission. Since then I have taken on innumerable roles and responsibilities within an organization that continues to grow and evolve.
