Originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, Sam moved to Sydney in the mid 00s and has been working for Merivale since 2011. Hospitality runs in the family, with grandparents, parents and siblings all involved throughout their lives for various periods and fashions. During his Merivale career he been a part of the Felix, Palmer & Co., and Charlie Parker’s teams before stepping into the role of Group Bars Manager, where he finetuned the art of bar backing in venues across the group. Since then, he has been the General Manager of the New Projects Team, where the opportunity to build new teams and venues across the country now makes up his day to day. Most recently he has overseen the re-opening of Allianz Stadium and taken the helm of the Sydney Cricket Ground, integrating Merivale’s approach to quality product, and delivering exceptional guest experiences into the stadium world.
