I've had all sorts of jobs--from working in restaurants, tutoring English and teaching ESL to playing guitar in Penn Station with a Music Under New York endorsed singer, I've managed to rack up quite an unusual resume at this point in my life. From teaching, I've learned how to connect to people, even when they aren't intending to connect with me, as well as how to simplify communication so as to avoid the misunderstanding that often occurs when one employs esoteric language in their speech and writing. From restaurant work, I've learned how to maintain poise when working rapidly, under extreme pressure, and how to give the customer what they want, how they want it. From performing, I've learned not to take myself so seriously while still maintaining a high-quality of productive output. And how to have fun at work.
