Assistant Subject Leader For History
CurrentAs a classroom teacher I am responsible for the planning and delivery of a range of lessons across Key Stages 3,4 and 5. The role involves the delivery of OCR GCSE History and Humanities with the identification of core students being essential. At Key Stage 5 the role involves the delivery of AS teaching, delivery the AQA course and focusses on developing students independence and resilience. As Assistant Subject Leader I work closely with the Subject Leader to deliver effective intervention and ensure departmental targets are achieved amongst other aspects.Alongside work in the classroom I have also been responsible for the school Virtual Learning Environment, having taken a founding role in establishing the school's use of the Moodle platform and monitoring and developing it's successful integration within the wider school teaching and learning forum.
