I started off my working career by joining the family business at the age of 16, following my departure from high school. I had a real passion for cars and the automotive industry, so joining The Bodycentre was a no-brainer. My ultimate goal was to, one day, jointly run the company with my parents. I initially began working in the panel shop where I was trained by some of the best in the industry, and this taught me many skills including; welding, panel beating, filling, and general structural repairs. I was in this department for almost 2 years until my life was turned upside down. My dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and was unfortunately taken from us. This was a tough time for the family and the team, but with great support from the whole workforce, we managed to keep the business alive. Upon my return, I knew it was time for me to step up, so I took over my dad's role and became the workshop manager. Soon after, following the boom of social media, I also took it upon myself to set up an array of social media accounts for the company, to really take this form of marketing to the next level. During the start of this period, I spent hours researching and teaching myself how to create & edit, videos/photos by using various forms of software. This enabled me to develop the relevant content the business required to publish on Youtube, Facebook, Instagram etc, which really got The Bodycentre's name out there. In the ten years since I started using these various social media platforms, we have gained 10's thousands of followers as well as over 2 million views on Youtube. I am a great believer in the power of social media marketing, which has proved so by generating endless amounts of jobs since using it, with people traveling from all over the country, and even abroad, for our services.As a team we have,- Secured major Manufacture Approval, some of the biggest names in the motor industry, and many more to come.- Created an array of social media pages, which across the board has over 700,000 hits a month - Worked with local charities raising thousands of pounds. - Put our team through intense training exams to make them some of the highest qualified technicians in the country.
