Managing a central project team, I am responsible for the development and delivery of a range of activities in order to raise the aspirations of under-represented young people into higher education. I coordinate several on-campus events across five Partner universities, as well as communicate and liaise with parents to deliver the most appropriate activities to their respective young people. I have the responsibility for recording and monitoring the budget and expenditure for identified events and activities delivered on behalf of the Partnership. I also manage a team of Higher Education Ambassadors, planning their time and activities in a complex schedule, and providing everything they need in order to successfully carry out the needs of the Partnership.

Training Officer in the Northumbrian Universities Royal Naval Unit, delivering a programme of Naval training to Undergraduate students from Universities across the North East, consisting of seamanship, navigation and discipline. I am also involved in the development of future URNU curriculum, as well as command and standards of students progressing through the Unit. This role includes a deployment twice a year on-board a Naval vessel, delivering at-sea experience and education to students.

I work as part of the Student Recruitment and Marketing Directorate at Newcastle University. It is my job to go out into schools across the UK and encourage young people to consider Higher Education as a route of progression. I also host on-campus events for up to 150+ secondary/tertiary students who are thinking of choosing Newcastle University as that route to progression.
