The company's product DefiniPoint, a suite of online assessment tools (SaaS model) that enables clinicians to diagnose and manage patients with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).As CEO, I led the company/product through to acquisition by a strategic partner.• Founded startup company, secured financing (grants and equity), and collaborated with inventors/professors to develop the products• Guided the technology from research and development through product launch • Led go-to-market plans and customer discovery initiatives that accelerated product adoption and sales

OcuCure, a clinical-stage ophthalmic pharmaceutical company developed drugs to treat Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy.• Led drug discovery and managed development team to advance compounds from the university through animal safety and efficacy studies• Launched and managed Phase I and Phase II POC clinical trials• Leveraged professional contacts and partnerships to secure multi-million dollars of equity and grant funding and accomplish international GMP manufacturing• Managed the CMC, patent portfolio, pharmaceutical services, and licensing aspects of the business

Carilion Clinic is a $2.2B integrated non-profit health system with a strong research and development foundation formerly led by the Carilion Biomedical Institute.• Assessed research needs and consulted with stakeholders to design, develop, and launch the Research Department functioning as a hybrid Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Development Office (RDO)• Devised internal seed-funding program (Research Acceleration Program) to ensure funding pool and mentorship for physicians and researchers in support of aggressive growth goals for the RDO• Grew the investigator-initiated research programs across the organization while initiating new externally sponsored clinical trials• Developed infrastructure, including policies and procedures, accounting and billing mechanisms, grants and contract support, and research coordination strategies
