I have vast experience working with communities in the recreation and consultation industry, A strong understanding of the issues in the industry, experience in planning projects and organizing budgets, am friendly, team orientated, have a strong attention to detail, have good communication skills, possess a hunger to constantly learn and am driven to succeed.In my current role working as a development officer for Sport & Recreation in Tamworth I have exercised my knowledge in the sporting industry. In this role I successfully assisted and supported community and school based sporting activities, identified needs and implemented projects in regional areas and supported sporting bodies logistically.I previously held a position as a Community Consultation officer for GHD. In this position I was responsible for communicating the project effectively to the wider Newcastle community. I was responsible for handling community inquiries and complaints about the project, and investigating and enforcing changes to the project that were of the benefit of the community. I have managerial experience working as North West Coordinator of Scripture Union NSW. In this position I held the responsibility of recruiting, motivating, training and resourcing 87 paid and unpaid workers across the North West region of NSW. In 2008 I completed a Bachelor of Social Science (Recreation and Tourism). On completion of this degree I have the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a professional career in the growing recreation and community services industry. I studied in depth recreation and its relationship to society and contemporary culture, recreation policy and planning, event management, cultural dimensions of recreation and recreations impact on personal behavior and development.In 2013 I obtained a diploma in Management. These studies focused on managing the work of others and developing the ability to add value to or review management practices.
