I have worked in financial services, specifically in financial crime, for over 14 years. My current focus is second line of defence oversight of transaction monitoring systems and controls. I provide subject matter expertise on transaction monitoring risk assessments, gap analysis, control design, MI and continuous improvement.Prior to this, I spent a number of years in a transaction monitoring first line of defence role. Here I used data and analytics to enhance the coverage of automated transaction monitoring systems in response to money laundering and terrorist financing threats.Much of my early career experience lies in training, including the design, delivery and evaluation of training programmes and resources. Subjects included fraud, anti-money laundering, sanctions and anti-bribery and corruption.I achieved the International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering (ICT) in 2017.
