In this role, I restructured and refocused the Customer Service department, enabling role clarity and improved leadership, and built processes and structures to ensure consistently high service levels and to identify opportunities for efficiency. This enabled a solid platform for scaling up and unprecedented customer loyalty.I had a significant role in the development of a new strategic plan for the Company and implemented a framework to plan activities to execute it; align organisational performance and capability; and measure progress.

Wellington & Wairarapa, New Zealand

I supported the Government Chief Information Officer to oversee delivery of this all-of-government programme from end to end, transitioning the programme to new enduring functions within government.The programme operated in a complex stakeholder environment intersecting a number of Government priorities. I developed a cohesive programme, co-creating solutions with practitioners and managed all advice to agencies, Ministers and the media. The programme resulted in the establishment of the Government Chief Privacy Officer in the Department of Internal Affairs and the implementation of the NZ Protective Security Requirements within the NZ Intelligence Community. This included an aligned capability maturity framework across both privacy and security to help agencies plan and measure their improvement over time.

I led the development of the work programme strategy to confirm priorities with ministers, iwi and other agencies; and to enable more efficient workforce utilisation. In order to improve planning capability and support execution of the programme, I built up an internal Project Management Office for OTS. I was also responsible for leading the workforce planning and allocation of all negotiations staff through a matrix management model. I built a management team and led the recruitment, engagement, management and development of all negotiations staff. Following an internal restructure, I also become responsible for all corporate aspects of OTS including financial management, procurement, communications, organisational design and administration.
