Sam works as a Technical Media Producer at KOLO in Reno, NV. There he is responsible for directing their morning and afternoon newscasts with their fully automated control room and studio system. He also is the director for KOLO's newsiest show "Morning Break with Katey Roshetko."If he wasn’t busy enough, Sam is also the Technical Director for the Reno Aces Baseball Club, the AAA affiliate to the Arizona Diamondbacks. There, he directs and TD's for the Bally Live Sports & MiLB broadcasts of all home games. He also assists with teaching the fundamentals of sports broadcasting to gameday crew and is responsible for general upkeep, organization of equipment, and ensuring timely repairs/maintenance.Before coming to Reno, Sam worked at WDBJ in Roanoke, VA. There he worked with the station's newly automated control room for their local news cast in their Media Control Center on many award winning newscasts. Also on the side, he freelanced for various sporting events as a director, technical director, camera and replay operator for live sports, including NCAA football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, field hockey and ice hockey.Sam was a Segment Producer, Videographer and Editor for Liberty University's weekly sports show Flames Central. There he was responsible for producing, filming and editing feature segments on various athletes all over the country.He was also an Associate Director at WSET ABC13 News in Lynchburg VA. There he was responsible for directing and technical directing various newscasts from 5pm-7pm and 11pm during the week, and all weekend newscasts. He is a 2014 graduate from Liberty University, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Broadcasting. He studied Audio Engineering at American River College in California in 2008-2011 before making the switch to Broadcasting.
