My work at FHI 360 focused on the design and conduct of scientific studies which seek to evaluate the impact of health and human development programs on targeted indicator(s). This work is highly collaborative, extensive, and diverse. In my final year and half at FHI 360, I contributed substantially to 11 different impact evaluations that were conducted by teams from a range of disciplinary backgrounds. At the same time, I provided short-term consultation on a wide range of design and analysis issues for a much broader set of studies and contributed to numerous research proposals.

At FPG I was responsible for the application of a wide range of statistical methodologies to research questions in child development. I contributed to the development of research proposals, assisted in the preparation of manuscripts submitted to peer reviewed journals, mentored junior scholars, and give workshops and seminars on advanced statistical methodology.

University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine

At the University of Pennsylvania, I developed the applied statistical methodology for research proposals submitted to health research funding agencies and provided consulting to numerous faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and students on a wide range of statistical issues (e.g. multilevel models, latent class analysis, spatial-temporal analysis, etc.). I also developed and taught two courses in applied statistical methods that were designed to serve the physician-scholars who participated in Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars program.

Philadelphia, Pa

At the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion [CHERP] I provided statistical consultation to physician-scholars who conducted health services research on behalf of U.S. veterans. A major effort involved the development of statistical techniques for estimating physician impacts on the health trajectories of veterans with diabetes. I also assisted in research involving the geography of health disparities among veterans living in the greater Philadelphia region.
